CATCH. RECORD. RELEASE.

Protecting the fish that make this river possible.

Sturgeon Slayers operates with a simple truth:

There is no future in guiding without conservation.

Every trip on the Fraser River is guided with respect for the fish, the ecosystem, and the responsibility that comes with access to one of the world’s most important white sturgeon fisheries.

Part of your sturgeon fishing experience is the privilege to participate in the Sturgeon Monitoring and Assessment Tagging Program, conducted in partnership with:

• Fraser Valley Angling Guides Association (FVAGA)
• Habitat Conservation Foundation
• InStream Fisheries Research
• Province of British Columbia
• Fisheries and Oceans Canada

The data collected helps track sturgeon movement, growth, and population health — guiding how the species is protected long term.

Conservation is practiced, not promised.

• Mandatory catch-and-release
• Proper fish handling & recovery
• Minimized fight times
• Calm, controlled landings
• Guest education on sturgeon care

Every fish is treated as a living record — not a trophy.

Founded and operated by Kevin Estrada, Sturgeon Slayers is led by experience on and off the water.

Kevin serves as Co-Chair of the Fraser Valley Angling Guides Association and previously sat on the Board of Directors for the Fraser River Sturgeon Conservation Society. In 2015, he was named Volunteer of the Year.

He continues to advocate for white sturgeon conservation at local, provincial, and federal levels.

We don’t own the river.
We steward it.

CONSERVATION IS PART OF EVERY TRIP

When you book with Sturgeon Slayers, you’re participating in the Sturgeon Monitoring and Assessment Tagging Program in partnership with the Fraser Valley Angling Guides Association, Habitat Conservation Foundation, InStream Fisheries Research, the Province of British Columbia, and Fisheries and Oceans Canada.

The data collected during your trip directly supports research and long-term protection of Fraser River white sturgeon — ensuring this fishery exists for generations to come.
