A Baby Sturgeon!

 Not all that often we get to see a tiny sturgeon dino baby like this!

On our guided fishing trips we use gear that is aimed towards sturgeons that are on the larger scale. Every once in a while, a rare catch like this happens! It is very exciting when it does! The picture actually makes him/her look bigger than was in reality. Of course, he/she was untagged so we tagged, recorded, and released.

For any dino's that we get to tag, clients have the opportunity to adopt the Sturgeon for $100. You will receive an email update if/when they are caught again. Money goes towards the Fraser River Sturgeon Conservation Society program to help keep the tagging program going.
