Part of your Sturgeon experience is the privilege to participate in the Sturgeon Monitoring and Assessment Tagging Program in partnership with the Fraser Valley Angling Guides Association (FVAGA), Habitat Conservation Foundation, InStream Fisheries Research and the province of British Columbia and Department of Fisheries and Oceans. This valuable data collection helps gain insight into how to best protect sturgeon.
Kevin Estrada, founder and operator of Sturgeon Slayers, sits as the Co-Chair for the FVAGA and sat on the Board of Directors for the Fraser River Sturgeon Conservation Society. In 2015, Kevin was named Volunteer of the Year.
Both on and off the water, Kevin continues to dedicate his life to the conservation of the species through advocating at local, provincial, and federal levels.
